Creative Video Producer & Editor
YESA | Ontario-based | Travel to the United States required
You’ve got the skills. You’ve got the ideas. You’re ready for your shot.
You love movies. You pay attention to the opening scene, the unexpected cut, the music cue that changes everything. You’ve watched something brilliant and immediately wanted to figure out how they made it.
You shoot. You edit. You experiment. You have ideas you’re excited to make—and you’re looking for a creative opportunity where you can put your abilities to work, learn from experienced people, and take on real responsibility.
We’re looking for that person.
At YESA, we’re building a creative team across a portfolio of four brands. We have studios in Ontario and the United States, equipment, personalities, stories, and ambitious plans for what we want to produce.
We need a technically capable, creatively hungry Video Producer & Editor who wants to help bring those plans to life.
The opportunity
You’ll help create original shows, brand films, commercials, interviews, training content, and plenty of short-form video. Whatever the format, we want someone who thinks about story: what makes an audience care, what holds their attention, and what makes a moment land.
You might turn a founder’s experience into a compelling story, build tension in a competitive weekly show, or find a memorable way to communicate an idea in 30 seconds.
You’ll work closely with our creative leadership, learn through hands-on production,
and have opportunities to pitch, write, shoot, edit, and produce content yourself. As you demonstrate your judgment and ability to deliver, you’ll earn greater creative ownership.
What you’ll do
- Find and develop stories. Ask good questions, recognize an interesting angle, and turn raw ideas into concepts worth making.
- Write and produce. Develop scripts, plan shoots, organize what’s needed, and carry projects through to delivery.
- Shoot well. Work confidently with cameras, lighting, and sound. Make interviews look great and capture footage that gives the edit possibilities.
- Edit with intention. Use pacing, performance, music, sound, and structure to create work that connects with an audience.
- Build motion graphics. Create titles, animation, and branded visual elements in After Effects.
- Explore new tools. Use AI image and video generation thoughtfully, experiment with techniques, and bring useful discoveries to the team.
- Handle the technical setup. Set up and troubleshoot studio equipment and A/V systems for shoots, presentations, and events.
- Finish what you start. Keep projects organized, communicate progress, respond to notes, and deliver polished work.
What you already know You have a solid technical foundation and work you can show us.
- Strong editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Working knowledge of After Effects and motion graphics.
- Hands-on experience shooting with cameras, setting lights, and recording clean audio.
- An understanding of composition, coverage, continuity, pacing, and sound.
- The ability to write clearly and shape footage into a story.
- Familiarity with AI creative tools and an appetite for learning more.
- The ability to independently produce a piece of content and collaborate on larger productions.
- Willingness and ability to travel to our U.S.
studios and production locations.
You don’t need to have mastered every discipline. You do need to bring useful skills today, recognize where you need to improve, and be willing to do the work to get better.
Who you are
You’re a student of the craft. Movies, television, documentaries, commercials, music videos—you seek out great work and think about why it works.
You take initiative. You pick up the camera, test the idea, research the technique, and come back with something to show.
You’re resourceful. When something goes wrong, you stay engaged and work toward a solution.
You welcome direction. You can contribute an idea, listen to feedback, and make the next version stronger.
You have follow-through. Your enthusiasm carries through the planning, file management, revisions, and final export.
You want responsibility. You’re excited to earn trust and become someone the team can count on creatively and technically.
What we bring
- Studios in Ontario and the United States, with production equipment provided.
- Access to experienced creative leadership and opportunities to develop your craft.
- A wide range of projects across four brands.
