About the Position

Pano Bar & Grill at Hinton Golf Club is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Cook to join our kitchen team for the winter season.

Our winter menu features hearty comfort food, pub favourites, and seasonal specialties. In addition to regular restaurant service, we host private functions, holiday parties, corporate gatherings, and catered events throughout the season.

We're looking for someone who enjoys cooking, works well independently and as part of a team, and takes pride in preparing consistently great food.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Manage kitchen operations efficiently during assigned shifts.
- Assist with food preparation, stocking, inventory rotation, and maintaining an organized kitchen.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
- Assist with preparing, cooking, and serving food for banquets, holiday parties, and special events.
- Work cooperatively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely, quality service.
- Assist with opening, closing, and other kitchen duties as required.

Scheduling & Availability Weekend availability is required. This position is primarily intended to cover regular weekend kitchen shifts, with additional opportunities including:





- Occasional weekday shifts to cover staff absences, vacations, and scheduling needs.
- Catered events, banquets, holiday parties, and private functions, which may include evenings.
- Additional shifts during busier periods.

Our winter restaurant season runs from October 30 through April 1, with the possibility of continued employment during the busy summer golf season.

Qualifications

- Previous commercial kitchen or line-cooking experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple orders efficiently.
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen cleanliness.
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable with a flexible schedule.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining food quality.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist with catered events.
