Working Foreman – Residential Construction

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Working Foreman who shares these values and can lead our carpentry operations from framing through interior finishes.

Key Responsibilities

Framing and Exterior Construction

- Lead and perform residential framing, including walls, floors, roof structures, and sheathing.
- Coordinate and complete siding installation, decks, and related finishing work.
- Window and exterior door installation, ensuring proper fit, flashing, weatherproofing, and quality control.

Interior Finishes

- Lead and perform flooring installation, including laminate, vinyl plank, and other specified products.
- Install kitchen cabinets and coordinate countertop installation and related trades.
- Install interior doors, casing, baseboards, and finish trim.
- Complete other interior carpentry and finishing work as required.

Site and Team Leadership

- Organize daily site activities and work alongside carpenters and labourers to maintain productivity and workmanship.
- Coordinate subcontractors,



material deliveries, and construction sequencing.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and installation instructions.
- Monitor progress against schedules, manage labour productivity, and identify problems before they cause delays or additional costs.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
- Inspect completed work, correct deficiencies, and ensure work meets project specifications and applicable building code requirements.
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment to minimize waste and unnecessary costs.
- Provide regular updates to management on progress, upcoming requirements, material needs, and site issues.
- Coordinate work across multiple homes and job sites as required.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years of residential construction experience, preferably in new-home construction.
- Robust practical experience in framing, siding, windows and doors, flooring, kitchen installation, and interior trim.
- Previous experience leading a crew or coordinating construction activities.
- Ability to read construction drawings and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.
- WHMIS, Working at Heights, and First Aid certifications are assets.

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
