The Role

As a Working Site Lead of Construction, you will oversee day-to-day site operations across residential renovation, addition, and custom home projects throughout Toronto and the GTA.

You will work closely with company leadership, subcontractors, and the broader construction team to keep projects organized, maintain quality standards, and ensure work progresses safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on position that combines site supervision with practical construction skills.

Responsibilities:

Site Supervision & Coordination

- Oversee daily job-site activities and coordinate subcontractors, labourers, and deliveries.
- Organize daily priorities and ensure work is completed in the correct sequence.
- Monitor project progress and communicate schedule updates, delays, and site requirements to management.
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, secure, and compliant with applicable safety requirements.
- Identify potential issues early and work proactively to resolve them.

Hands-On Construction

- Perform and assist with general carpentry, demolition, framing, installations, and other construction tasks as required.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, details, and specifications.
- Assist with layout, measurements, material takeoffs, and site preparation.
- Support finishing work and help maintain the level of craftsmanship expected on high-quality residential projects.
- Identify deficiencies and ensure they are addressed before the project progresses to the next stage.

Quality Control & Communication

- Review completed work for quality, accuracy,



and alignment with drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with trades to resolve site conflicts and construction details.
- Communicate material requirements, site conditions, and upcoming work to management.
- Help track deficiencies, outstanding items, and project completion requirements.
- Maintain a qualified and respectful job site, recognizing that we are working in and around our clients' homes.

Qualifications

- Several years of experience in residential construction, renovations, additions, or custom home building.
- Strong practical construction and carpentry skills.
- Previous experience leading a job site, supervising trades, or coordinating construction activities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the broader team.
- High standards for workmanship, cleanliness, safety, and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Relevant safety certifications, including Working at Heights, are preferred.
- Demonstrated experience installing interior doors and glass components is required.
- Strong knowledge of door hardware, installation methods, measurements, and finishing details.
- Ability to oversee and perform door and glass installations while maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
