Yard Operations Team Member

Part-time to start, moving to full-time in early 2027

We’re looking for an energetic, reliable person with a positive attitude to join our team in the materials yard. This role starts part-time and will move to full-time in early 2027. If you like working outdoors, enjoy running equipment and take pride in great customer service, we’d love to hear from you!

Core responsibilities include

- Operating our loader to load bulk soils, mulch and aggregates into customer trucks and trailers
- Assisting customers in the materials yard (helping with bulk products, weighing stone, loading bagged soil and heavier items)
- Supporting deliveries – preparing and loading orders and helping keep deliveries running smoothly
- Yard upkeep – keeping bins, aisles and the yard clean, safe and organized
- Offering exceptional customer service, acknowledging & greeting all customers
- Assisting with receiving product shipments, organizing & stocking
- Customer carryouts, answering the phone, general housekeeping and support around the garden centre as needed

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Primarily working outdoors in all weather conditions – rain or shine, warm or cool
- Standing/walking for full shifts
- Bending, crouching, kneeling




- Lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs on a regular basis

Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, can-do attitude
- Physical strength and stamina for demanding outdoor work, including regularly lifting and carrying heavy materials
- Previous experience operating loaders, tractors, skid steers, forklifts or similar equipment is an asset
- A willingness to learn how to operate the above machines if no prior experience
- Knowledge of landscape materials (soils, mulch, aggregates) is an asset
- Safety-minded, punctual and dependable, with a solid work ethic
- Team player who can also work independently

Hours & Pay:
- Part-time to start: at least 3 days a week, moving to full-time in early 2027
- Must be available weekends as well as weekdays
- Wage range: $20–$23 per hour, based on experience
- Start date: ASAP

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
