Job Overview
We are looking for a versatile, qualified, and professional Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team at our Lévis, Québec site, from Monday to Friday, 6:00 to 2:30. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of metal materials to and from client sites and other AIM facilities.
Responsibilities
Driving & Operating Heavy Vehicles
- 12‐wheel Lugger
- Operating a variety of Class 1 utility vehicles to transport metal materials while ensuring compliance with road regulations and company policies
- Performing routine pre‐trip and post‐trip inspections of the truck, ensuring it is in proper working condition
- Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck when required, using appropriate equipment, and secure loads to prevent shifting or damage during transport
- Completing accurate and thorough logs of deliveries and any other required documentation
- Providing high‐quality customer service
Qualifications
To Join Our Team:
- You have a valid Class 1 FM driver's license and a good Driving Record
- You have experience driving manual transmission
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class 1 driver
- You are customer‐service oriented with robust communication and interpersonal skills
- You have good physical endurance and the ability to perform loading and unloading activities when needed
- You have knowledge of metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
- You have experience with dump trucks / Roll‐offs (an asset)
- You are in good physical condition and have robust safety awareness
- You have good customer service skills
- You are punctual, reliable, and respectful of equipment
