Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

This role involves safely and efficiently operating Dock Stocker forklifts to move, load, and transport products throughout a clean, modern warehouse environment. You accurately select and build customer orders, perform repetitive physical tasks during the shift, and help maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

- Operate Dock Stocker forklifts and other Raymond material handling equipment safely and efficiently at all times.
- Accurately select, pick, and build customer orders according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Load, move, and transport products throughout the warehouse, ensuring items are handled carefully and placed in the correct locations.
- Use RF scanners and related inventory tools to track, pick, and verify products and orders.
- Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift, including lifting 2050 lbs on a regular basis.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following housekeeping and safety guidelines.
- Follow all warehouse processes for inventory handling, order picking, and material movement.
- Communicate clearly in English with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
- Train on the 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM shift for a few days and remain flexible to work either available day shift.
- Adhere to all equipment operation standards and promptly report any issues with forklifts or other machinery.

Essential Skills

- Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.




- Proven experience operating Dock Stocker forklifts and handling materials safely.
- Valid Dock Stocker license from a recognized or preferred forklift training provider.
- Ability to lift 2050 lbs repetitively throughout the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Previous order picking experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Experience with RF or voice-picking systems, considered an asset.
- Comfort working with Raymond material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when building and verifying orders.
- Ability to adapt to different day shift schedules (7:00 AM3:00 PM and 9:00 AM5:00 PM).

Work Environment

The role is based in a very clean, new warehouse facility with bright lighting and climate control, providing a comfortable and safe setting for physical work. All material handling equipment is Raymond, including Dock Stocker forklifts. There is no public transportation nearby, so employees need to have their own vehicle to commute. The position offers weekday day shifts only, with no afternoon shifts, and requires flexibility to work either 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with initial training likely on the 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM shift. The environment is structured, safety-focused, and designed to support efficient order picking,



inventory handling, and material movement.

This is a Contract position based out of Elora, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.15 - $22.15/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
