School Bus Driver
A School Bus Driver provides daily transportation services to Students on an assigned route. The Driver interacts with Parents, Teachers, and other School personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pick up passengers at pre-determined locations
- Exhibits the highest ethical best practices and personal integrity; Shares concerns about suspicious or inappropriate behaviour with their supervisor or manager
- Report to work on time and operate route in a safe manner
- Conduct pre-trip inspections daily, using Company tools and swipe technology
- Practice defensive driving at all times, and proactively avoid accidents by practicing protected driving and work habits
- Open and close bus doors daily, and assist passengers who are boarding and exiting the bus
- Evacuate bus in emergency situations and physically assist passengers to evacuate
- Refill fuel and washer fluid in assigned vehicle when necessary, before picking up passengers
