Burnside Brewing
Dartmouth
At Burnside Brewing we’ve always been guided by that no-nonsense ethos: Work hard, have fun, and most importantly, make great beer. Locating the brewery and first taproom in the decidedly un-hip Burnside Industrial Park is a perfect example of how we like to do things. Being trendy was never the point. It’s always been about a commitment to quality and consistency in brewing approachable beer. Beer our valued customers want to drink, crafted the way it should be. Burnside Brewing Company is seeking a creative, commercially minded, hands-on marketer to lead brand building and campaign execution across our beer portfolio, including Toller Quality Crafted Lager. This role combines strategic ownership with day-to-day delivery, supported by one marketing coordinator and a dedicated budget for external creative and tactical resources.
What You'll Do
· Own brand positioning, annual marketing plans and campaign calendars across Burnside Brewing’s portfolio.
· Plan and execute product launches, consumer promotions, contests, events, sponsorships and retail activations.
· Lead digital marketing, social media, content planning, paid advertising and campaign measurement.
· Develop NSLC-focused marketing plans and promotional calendars aligned with sales and distribution priorities.
· Coordinate NSLC promotional submissions,
creative assets, in-store programs and execution with the sales team.
· Track NSLC sales, SKU trends, promotional results and campaign return on investment; recommend improvements.
· Manage and coach one marketing coordinator and brief external designers, agencies, photographers and suppliers.
· Manage budgets, timelines, brand standards and applicable alcohol-marketing compliance requirements. What You Bring
· Multiple years of relevant marketing experience, with a record of personally delivering campaigns.
· Consumer brand, retail, hospitality, tourism, CPG or agency experience; beer/beverage experience is an asset, not required.
· Strong creative judgment, digital fluency, project management and communication skills.
· Comfort using sales data and marketing metrics to make practical, commercially sound decisions.
· A collaborative, resourceful style: equally willing to set direction and roll up your sleeves. The Prospect Lead recognizable Nova Scotia brands with meaningful ownership, a direct report and access to professional creative support. This is a working-manager role—not a purely supervisory or social-media-only position. Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience.
