Our client is seeking a senior, hands-on Principal Software Engineer to help shape and deliver the next generation of its enterprise technology landscape. The Principal Engineer will help bridge those environments by designing and implementing contemporary solutions, providing technical direction and working closely with engineering, product/value-stream and business stakeholders. Lead the technical design and implementation of scalable enterprise applications and modernization initiatives. Remain hands-on with software engineering, coding, technical problem-solving and solution implementation. Design up-to-date cloud-based and distributed solutions using APIs, microservices and appropriate architectural patterns. Apply strong engineering practices across development, DevOps, CI/CD, testing, code quality and design. Participate in and influence technical/design reviews. Partner closely with Value Stream Owners to translate business problems and roadmaps into implementable technical solutions. Mentor engineers and help strengthen Enercare's evolving engineering culture. 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with experience operating at Principal, Staff, Senior Staff or equivalent technical leadership level. Strong hands-on software development capability; must remain technically current and capable of coding. Azure strongly preferred,



although significant AWS or GCP experience may be considered. Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and modern engineering practices. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and explain technical decisions clearly. Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction without relying solely on formal authority.
