As a Software Engineer on the Securities Finance (SecFi) team, you'll build and run the systems behind Alpaca's lending and borrowing products. The work is backend, and it matters given the scope of powering various brokerage customer experiences.
The two current customer-facing products are Fully Paid Securities Lending (FPSL), where we lend out customers' fully paid shares and split the revenue back with them, and customer short borrowing, where we source hard-to-borrow locates. Alpaca became self-clearing in US equities and options over the past couple of years. Own a project from the first conversation about the problem through to what's running in production.
