Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, you will play a critical role in the Engineering Department focused on Underground Operations. Your responsibilities will include generating optimized long-term mining plans for the Detour Underground Operation, collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless production activities. You'll also promote a high standard of health and safety while respecting environmental practices and workplace procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scenario analysis for optimized mining strategies
- Develop Life of Mine mining plans with cost forecasting
- Prepare presentations to communicate LOM strategies
- Participate in mining reviews as Mine Operations representative
- Promote continuous improvement in safety and productivity
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Mining Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of underground mining experience
- Skilled Engineering eligibility in Ontario
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Deswik software
- Strong English communication skills
