Product Foundation: Set the technical direction for the shared services and components that other teams depend on. Improve the speed, safety and reliability of how we build, test and ship software. Treat internal engineers as your customers: gather feedback, measure adoption and iterate. Lead the design and delivery of large, ambiguous projects end to end, from planning through production. Partner directly with Product Managers, Designers, Engineering leadership, and the engineers who build on your work to shape your team’s roadmap and influence the roadmaps of adjacent teams. Own the long-term technical health of a platform domain: reliability, performance, and the parts of the codebase nobody notices until they break. Drive architecture decisions and write the technical proposals others build against. Mentor senior and staff engineers, and set the standard for code review on your team. Our core stack is TypeScript, React, Node.js, and MySQL. Some teams use C# or Python.



You'll land on a team of 5 to 10 people and take on-call rotation as part of the role. Within your first 6 months, you’ll own the technical direction of a platform domain or system outright. We don't have a minimum in-office mandate, but we prefer our teams to be located around our office hubs. 10+ years of skilled experience building full-stack web or mobile products, including a track record of leading technical work at a scope beyond a single team. Deep hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js. A track record of writing maintainable, testable code you’re comfortable handing off to someone else. Strong written and verbal communication: you can explain a technical tradeoff to a designer, a support lead, or an executive as easily as to another developer. Day-to-day use of AI tools in your development workflow, not just occasional experimentation. GraphQL, React Native, or SQL database experience. Experience with search technology, authentication and identity, design systems or component libraries, developer tooling or IDE extensions, CI/CD, observability, or compliance programs such as FedRAMP or SOC 2. Depending on the role, compensation may also include commission, an annual bonus and equity.
