About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and cutting-edge Remote Agricultural Consultant to advise farmers and agricultural businesses across South Africa, with a particular focus on supporting clients in the Northern Cape. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while providing expert guidance on improving farm productivity, sustainability, and profitability. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills, capable of building strong relationships and delivering tangible results through virtual consultations and support. Provide expert remote consultation on crop management, soil health, irrigation techniques, and pest/disease control strategies. Advise clients on the adoption of new agricultural technologies, including precision farming tools and data management systems. Stay informed about market demands, regulatory changes, and best practices in the agricultural sector. Deliver virtual training sessions and workshops to educate clients on best agricultural practices. Advanced degree (Master's or PhD)
in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in agricultural consulting, farm management, or a similar advisory role. Comprehensive understanding of diverse agricultural systems and challenges relevant to South African contexts. Proven ability to analyze complex agricultural data and provide practical, evidence-based recommendations. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in virtual collaboration tools. Demonstrated experience in remote client management and advisory services.
