You will be contributing to the development of world‑class digital products and experiences on the Android platform that touch millions of Tangerine customers every day. Design, develop, and maintain robust, efficient, and scalable Android applications using Kotlin and the Android SDK. Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical expert on Android projects, providing guidance on best practices and emerging trends in Android development. Code Quality & Reviews:



Participate actively in code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and reliability standards are met. Coach and mentor junior Android developers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement. Performance Optimization:

Experience:
10+ years of professional Android development experience, with a proven record of shipping apps to the Google Play Store. Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Kotlin (Java experience is a plus). Deep understanding of Android frameworks and components (Jetpack, Coroutines, LiveData/Flow, etc.). Strong understanding of Android app design patterns (e.g., Familiarity with Google’s Material Design Guidelines and best practices for Android UI/UX. Tooling: Proficiency with Android Studio, Gradle, and version control (Git). Testing: Experience with testing framework. Agile Methodologies: Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning, task estimation, and retrospectives.
