Required Skills, Experience, & Abilities

- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with demonstrable experience as a Full-Stack Developer transitioning into a Forward Deployed Engineer-style, customer-facing delivery role.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java, including Core Java, Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, microservices architecture, and REST/gRPC APIs, and/or robust production experience in Python 3.x, including FastAPI, Flask/Django,

Pandas/NumPy, and Pydantic.

- Strong object-oriented design and ability to work across Java and Python codebases, or rapidly ramp up on the second language.
- Hands-on experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Tekton/OpenShift Pipelines and Jenkins.
- Strong database expertise across Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, and MongoDB, including schema design, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Demonstrated DevOps experience with Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and reliable cloud deployment on at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience building scalable, resilient full-stack applications, including working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.

- Monitoring and observability experience with Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, or similar tools.
- Experience with event-driven architectures.

Job Overview

Seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer with deep Java and Python expertise to work directly with Fintech clients in the Spread Products space. This is a hybrid engineering and customer-facing role focused on architecting, building, deploying, and hardening production-grade solutions in close collaboration with client trading, risk, and operations teams.





The role requires an experienced Full-Stack or Backend Architect who can translate complex and ambiguous business requirements into working software, make effective tradeoffs between scope, speed, and quality, and serve as the technical face of the engineering organization with customers.

Success requires ownership of the complete technical delivery lifecycle, from discovery and scoping through production readiness, while ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, auditable, and compliant. The engineer will also establish feedback loops with stakeholders, understand business outcomes and ROI/AI impact, and demonstrate that delivered systems can operate reliably in production without unexpected behavior.

Responsibilities

- Act as the primary technical point of contact embedded with client teams, gathering requirements, scoping solutions, and defining technical sequencing.
