Job Description

Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Heavy-Duty Mechanic who is both professional and safety oriented.

Expected Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hourly Rate: $25.00-$45.00 per hour

Hours of Work: Tuesday-Saturday, 11AM-7PM or 12PM-8PM

Job Duties

- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Perform CVIP inspections in compliance with Provincial regulations
- Carry out tire changes, repairs, and inspections on heavy-duty vehicles
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Maintain accurate service and inspection records
- Wash heavy-duty vehicles/trucks




- Ensure all work meets safety standards and company procedures
- Complete all other applicable/reasonable job duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Must have previous, relevant experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- CVIP certificate (or ability to obtain) is preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable, safety focused, and detail oriented
- Ability to work both individually and within a team
- Own tools preferred (or specify if provided)
- Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
