Dental Hygienist – Periodontal Specialty Practice

Atlantic Implants and Periodontic is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team.

We are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our periodontal specialty practice. This will be a full-time position with the exact work schedule to be determined. The candidate must have completed a local anesthesia course or be willing to complete one. Our office is committed to providing exceptional periodontal care in a welcoming, professional, and patient-focused environment. Competitive salary based on experience.

As a member of our team, you will play an important role in supporting patients through their periodontal treatment and long-term oral health journey.

About the Position

The Dental Hygienist will work closely with our periodontist and dental team to provide comprehensive periodontal hygiene care, educate patients, and help them achieve and maintain optimal oral health.

Responsibilities include:

- Providing thorough periodontal assessments, hygiene therapy, and maintenance care
- Performing root planning, periodontal debridement, and other hygiene procedures within your scope of practice
- Taking and recording periodontal measurements and maintaining accurate clinical records
- Educating patients on effective oral hygiene techniques and periodontal disease prevention
- Providing individualized home-care recommendations
- Monitoring patients' periodontal health and communicating clinical findings with the periodontist
- Supporting patients before, during, and after periodontal treatment




- Maintaining a high standard of infection prevention and control
- Creating a positive, comfortable experience for every patient
- Working collaboratively with the entire dental team

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

- A registered/licensed Dental Hygienist in good standing
- Experienced in, or interested in developing their skills in, periodontal care
- Passionate about patient education and exceptional clinical care
- Compassionate, professional, and approachable
- Detail-oriented and organized
- A strong communicator and team player
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with the periodontist and dental team
- Must have a local anesthesia course or be willing to complete one

Previous periodontal experience is an asset, but we are happy to support the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow in a specialty practice.
