Overview

At Paradise Inn & Suites and The Boss Restaurant, we are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring smooth meal preparation and food safety standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn about the food industry. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a agile culinary environment.

Duties

- Carrying and replace linen
- Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
- Load buspans and trays
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
- Scour pots and pans
- Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars
- Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
- Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators,



freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
- Sharpen kitchen knives
- Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit.

Qualifications and Experience:

- No experience required however previous experience will be an asset.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions carefully
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
