We’re a busy family of four in NW Calgary looking for a reliable, organized and proactive Family Assistant / Household Manager to help make our weekdays run a little more smoothly.

This is not primarily a childcare position. Our biggest priority is finding someone who can take ownership of weekly meal planning, grocery shopping and food preparation, along with some general household support.

What we’d love help with:

- Planning simple, healthy, family-friendly meals for the week
- Creating a grocery list and grocery shopping/ordering groceries
- Preparing 3–4 family dinners each week, either fully cooked or ready to quickly finish
- Preparing easy lunch and snack options for the kids
- Washing/chopping fruit and vegetables and keeping healthy options ready to grab
- Occasional baking or batch prep (muffins, pancakes, soups, sauces, etc.)
- Keeping the fridge organized and noticing when household food staples need replenishing
- Cleaning up the kitchen after cooking and meal prep
- Light household tasks as time allows, such as laundry, changing sheets, tidying/organizing or occasional errands

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys cooking and is comfortable taking initiative. Ideally, after getting to know our family’s likes and dislikes, you can independently suggest meals,



notice what we’re running low on and keep things moving without needing a detailed list from us each week.

We have two school-aged children, so experience with families and an understanding of realistic kid-friendly meals is definitely an asset. There may occasionally be an chance for childcare or school pickup, but that would not be the primary focus of the position.

We’re initially thinking one weekday per week for approximately 5–6 hours, with some flexibility on the day and hours. We’d be open to expanding the role if it’s a great fit.

We’re looking for someone who is trustworthy, warm, efficient and comfortable becoming a consistent part of our household. A driver’s licence and reliable transportation would be strongly preferred. We have a small dog, who, once comfortable with you, will not move from her perch on the couch.

Care for her is not expected but comfort is necessary.
