The position

The growth marketer is the only marketing person on the team. You do the work yourself and you own one number: new customers who found us organically , through search, AI assistants, LinkedIn, etc.

Fourwaves grew mostly on word of mouth, and organic search and AI answers already bring in customers every week with no one dedicated to them. There’s a lot of room to grow: we don’t hold the top spots yet on the searches and AI answers that matter most, and channels like YouTube and segmented nurture emails have barely started.

No team to manage, no agency to brief. You work with the founder, sales and customer success. You decide where the effort goes: which channels, which bets, what to stop, and you adjust as results come in. The goal is ambitious: several times more customers finding us organically, not a few percent more.

What you’ll do

- Win search and AI answers. Keep our commercial pages at the top of Google and cited in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI answers: find the gaps, improve the pages, and earn mentions on review sites, roundups, Reddit and YouTube.
- Make Fourwaves visible everywhere. You create and publish the content yourself, with AI agents to go faster, and you own the quality of everything that goes out: nurture emails for leads who aren’t ready yet, regular posts about what we ship, YouTube videos, helpful answers on Reddit and Quora, pages and articles on our site, and stories about our customers and their events. The founder stays closely involved in the flagship comparison pages.
- Own the numbers. Know where we stand every week: where new customers come from,



demos, rankings and AI citations. When something moves, you find out why and act on it.
- Bet, measure, double down. No single action moves the needle. Pick a few bets, say upfront what we know and what we don’t, and show what changed. Then test new channels, including which conferences and trade shows we attend, and keep what brings customers.

Our stack: HubSpot, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Surfer SEO, and Claude Code on a marketing site we edit in minutes.

What we’re looking for

- 4+ years in B2B marketing, ideally SaaS, ideally as the only marketer on the team. You’re used to owning everything, from the numbers to the newsletter.
- You write clearly and you ship. Emails, posts, video scripts, pages. Our audience is researchers, and they notice.
- You turn numbers into decisions. You know your way around HubSpot (or a similar CRM) and analytics, you can tell a real trend from noise, and you’d rather say “we don’t know yet” than dress up a number, then still make the call.
- You know SEO and AI search well enough to write content that ranks and gets cited, and to tell when a page needs deeper technical work.
- Research and academia interest you. A background in research, science communication or academic events is a solid plus. At the very least, you’re curious about how researchers work.
- Low ego, high ownership. Ideas and pushback from anyone on the team are welcome, because what you care about is the number.
- You’re fluent in French and English. Most of the writing is in English, and you’ll work with a French-speaking team.
- AI is already in your daily workflow. You use agents to analyze and produce faster, and you check everything they make.
