As a Product Designer at 7shifts, you're building solutions that restaurants actually need. Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Design and Research, you own the full design process: from talking to operators to understand what's costing them time and money, to shipping and iterating in production. You work with your squad — PM, EM, and engineers — to move from real problems to shipped experiences that change how restaurants run.
Design at 7shifts is hands-on and builder-first. Work starts with customer research, moves into AI-powered exploration, gets prototyped and tested with real restaurants, then into Figma for systems and polish. You see how restaurants use your work and ship the iterations that stick.
Let that guide what you design. Test ideas with customers early. Own the design. You partner with Product and Engineers through implementation — you're not handing off, you're making sure it ships right.
Use that to spot opportunities others miss, including what customers don't know how to articulate.
Use AI across the full design process: synthesize research, generate concepts, refine patterns, contribute to the codebase. Contribute to the design system. Join design reviews, share prompts and workflows, and raise the team's level through critique.
Ship often. You feel that pull when customers start using what you made. You know the difference between shipping fast and shipping right, and you do both.
3+ years as a product designer on cross-functional teams,



ideally in SaaS

- You've shipped work. You can defend a design choice and listen when you're wrong.
- Previous experience in the restaurant-tech industry or working in a restaurant setting
