We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D; capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow. You AreWith over 10 years of experience designing high-performance PCBs, you know that the decisions that matter most are often made long before a board reaches the lab. Multi-gigabit interfaces, signal integrity, power delivery, stack-up definition, and layout trade-offs are familiar territory. When issues emerge, you're able to identify the root cause, evaluate the options, and make the engineering decisions that keep a project on track. Transmission lines, return paths, SI/PI analysis, and 3 D EM modelling are all part of your toolkit. Experience with HFSS or similar tools has given you the judgement to distinguish between interesting simulation results and the ones that genuinely influence a design. Just as importantly, you're comfortable balancing technical depth with project delivery, whether that means leading multiple PCB developments, supporting customer discussions, reviewing layouts, or guiding design trade-offs. At Synopsys,
you'll own PCB design for advanced IP test chips and work alongside a global team developing technologies that enable the next generation of semiconductor products. What You'll Be DoingLead six or more test-chip PCB designs per year from requirements and architecture through physical layout, verification, and deliveryDefine PCB requirements early with customers and internal teams, including ball-map planning, routing channel assessment, and layer stackup decisions optimized for signal integrity and power integrityPerform hands-on PCB layout and physical design using industry-standard toolsExtract electrical models from your PCB designs, validate model accuracy, and run SI/PI analysis to guide design decisions and catch problems before fabricationGuide customers through PCB architecture evaluations and implementation tradeoffs for Synopsys IP integrationCoordinate design schedules, technical reviews, and deliverables across internal engineering teams, customers, and external manufacturing partnersProvide regular project updates to management covering progress, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plansThe Impact You Will HaveYour PCB designs will enable Synopsys customers to validate and integrate high-performance IP (like PCIe8, E224, DDR6, HBM4 / 5 or UCIe3) in real silicon, directly affecting product timelines and successThe models you extract and the SI/PI analysis you perform will catch electrical issues early,
reducing costly respins and schedule delaysYour technical leadership on cross-functional projects will set the standard for PCB design quality and execution across the business unitThe architecture guidance you provide to customers will help them make better tradeoff decisions and adopt Synopsys IP with confidenceYour ability to manage multiple concurrent designs will directly improve team throughput and predictabilityThe design standards and best practices you establish will raise the bar for signal integrity and power integrity performance across the portfolioYour coordination across global teams will ensure smoother handoffs, fewer surprises, and higher-quality outcomesWhat You'll Need10+ years of hands-on experience in high-speed PCB design and layout, electrical modeling, or signal integrity and power integrity analysisAdvanced working knowledge of circuit theory and transmission line theory, and the ability to apply it to real PCB design and analysis decisionsDemonstrated experience building, validating, and interpreting 3 D electromagnetic models using Ansys HFSS or equivalent tools, and using those results to drive design choicesStrong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to customers, partners, and cross-functional teamsWorking proficiency in Windows and Linux environments for engineering design and analysis workflowsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent fieldExperience leading multiple concurrent PCB projects and managing schedules, reviews, and deliverables is a strong plusThe Team You'll Be Part OfYou will work with a highly skilled and supportive global team focused on ensuring Synopsys IP test-chip packages meet electrical and physical performance requirements. Your recruiter will share more about the team structure and mission during the interview process.Rewards And BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and advantages during the hiring process.#J-18808-Ljbffr
