Commercial/Residential Window and Door Installer

Horizon Glass Ltd is seeking experienced window and door glaziers to join our team.

:

Recent construction, renovation, fabrication of commercial windows, automatic door operators, aluminum and fiberglass storefront, curtainwall, commercial glass walls and door, sunshades and installation of other architectural products, hands-on service experience with windows and doors, communicates in prompt and qualified level when challenges occur.

Primary Responsibilities:
Read blueprints, shop drawings or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
Install doors and windows using hand and power tools
Glazing
Finish carpentry
Prepare and clean up the work area as necessary
Follow all health and safety procedures as necessary
Other duties as required
Must be able to work un-supervised

Qualifications:
Must currently reside in Canada
Construction knowledge and carpentry experience is an asset




Strong customer service skills are a must
Experience with thinking on your feet and job site problem solving.
Experience installing windows and doors
Experience with commercial aluminum an asset.
Able to work independently and/or with a team
Reliable, independent and organized
Valid Driver’s License
Fall arrest training or aerial lift truck knowledge is a solid asset.
Clean criminal record
Excellent communication skills (phone, email, reports)
Attention to detail and carefulness to property/ possessions
Flexible to perform service jobs when required
Able to read and understand and perform site measurements
Blueprint reading
Provide photo report when required
Follow detailed instructions
Willing to work with others
Willing to travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
