Rail Operator – Slave Lake (This is a Monday to Friday position starting at 7:00 am. No fly-in/fly-out or camp accommodations are provided.)

Tiger is seeking Rail Operator at our Slave Lake, Alberta, facilities to safely and efficiently load Tiger’s of rail cars with calcium products, including completing required documentation and supporting daily rail operations.

What you will do in this role:
Load all rail cars with calcium products in accordance with established procedures.
Washing rail cars




Follow Alberta Transportation’s regulations on rail car securement
Maintain a clean and tidy personal work area
Perform general site maintenance (vegetation control and snow removal)
Maintain a daily record of all work tasks and materials
Support and encourage continuous improvement in work practices
Completing daily job hazard assessments
Assist with other operational duties as required.

What we are looking for:
High school equivalency
Previous industrial or rail operations experience would be an asset
Understanding of workplace hazards and secure work practices
Experience working on top of rail cars and cleaning inside tank cars would be an asset.
Solid communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
