Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Radiation Oncology at BC Cancer Victoria will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and support throughout the treatment process.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the radiation oncology unit.
Administer radiation therapy treatments and monitor patient responses.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and self-care strategies.
Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
