Sturgeon Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy in St. Albert, and we’re looking for a pharmacy assistant to join our weekday team.

The schedule

Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. That’s 35 hours a week with no evenings and no weekends. If you’ve been working retail pharmacy hours and want your evenings and weekends back, this is the role.

What you’ll do
Receive and enter prescriptions, process refills, and adjudicate third-party claims
Fill and label prescriptions for pharmacist verification
Prepare blister packs and compliance packaging
Manage inventory: receiving orders, cycle counts, returns, and expiry checks
Help patients at the counter and on the phone, and know when to hand off to the pharmacist
Keep the dispensary organized and running smoothly between the pharmacist and the front

What we’re looking for
Experience as a pharmacy assistant in a community pharmacy




Kroll experience is a solid asset; experience with any dispensing software is required
Accurate and detail-oriented, with a habit of catching your own mistakes
Comfortable with a busy counter and able to prioritize when several things land at once
Strict respect for patient confidentiality under the Health Information Act
Reliable, punctual, and able to get to St. Albert for a 10:00 am start year-round

What we offer
$17–$20 per hour, depending on experience
