This full time hybrid role focuses on research leadership, partnership development, and budget management. As the Head of Research & Innovation for the Social Innovation Institute, you will report to the Associate Vice-President, leading operations and strategic initiatives.

Your role will involve overseeing project proposals, securing funding, and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders within the community and academia. This strategic position aims to enhance research capabilities while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and standards. Key Responsibilities:
Lead operations and manage staff development for the Institute




Forge partnerships with industry and academic stakeholders
Oversee research proposal development and project planning
Manage operating budgets and monitor financial performance
Ensure compliance with funding requirements and research standards Requirements:
Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum five years in people management
Experience in partnership development in postsecondary settings
Knowledge of social sciences research methodologies
Solid communication and interpersonal skills Drive impactful social innovation and research initiatives at George Brown Polytechnic.
