The Porter position is under the supervision of the Food Operations department. Candidates will perform various duties such as sweeping floors, washing equipment, and managing trash disposal.

Experience in kitchen cleaning and an ability to lift heavy items are essential for this role, which runs from September to April. Key Responsibilities:
Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly
Wash walls, worktables, and kitchen equipment
Remove trash and place in designated bins
Wash dishes by hand or operate the dishwasher
Assist in setting up dining areas and refilling dispensers Requirements:
Secondary school diploma preferred
Experience as a kitchen helper is desirable
Ability to lift heavy items frequently
WHMIS training and food handler certificate preferred
Adaptable availability for shifts Support the University of Guelph’s food operations while ensuring cleanliness and efficiency in kitchen work.
