The General

Labourer position involves performing essential maintenance duties supporting municipal services. You will assist in site preparation, material handling, and general cleanup tasks. This role also entails operational support across multiple city infrastructure projects and may require filling in for higher-level roles when needed. Key Responsibilities:
Support maintenance and construction work for city infrastructure
Assist with site preparation and material handling
Perform basic grounds upkeep and cleaning tasks
Operate small equipment, forklifts, and vehicles safely
Maintain compliance with safety procedures and regulations Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent education
Valid BC Class 3 Driver's License with Air Endorsement
One year of related experience or equivalent combination
WHMIS, Traffic Control, and Forklift Training certificates
Ability to perform physically demanding work safely Engage in Powell River’s community while ensuring reliable maintenance of city infrastructure.
