Drive health equity as a full time Health Promoter for the African, Caribbean, and Black population at Durham Community Health Centre. Engage communities through education, advocacy, and partnership-building strategies. As a Health Promoter, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to address health issues affecting ACB populations.

This full time contract position involves outreach, program development, and health education to empower communities. You will also facilitate workshops and initiatives aimed at improving healthcare access and reducing gaps in health equity. Key Responsibilities:
Identify health needs with community groups
Develop partnerships for health promotion programs
Facilitate community events and initiatives
Provide educational workshops for diverse audiences
Conduct needs assessments and program evaluations Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in health or social science
At least three years in health promotion/education
Knowledge of ACB populations and community organizing
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Valid driver’s license required Utilize your expertise in health advocacy to serve and support the African, Caribbean, and Black communities at DCHC.
