About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its team. The COO will be a key executive leader, responsible for translating the strategic vision into operational priorities, fostering organizational alignment, and creating a culture of accountability and disciplined execution. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a strong focus on safety, quality,
and operational excellence. The successful candidate will provide executive oversight of project execution, enhance operational performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Financial and commercial stewardship is also a critical aspect of the role, including the development of annual operating plans, budgets, and resource strategies.
Candidates for the COO position at the company should have extensive operational leadership experience, ideally in industrial construction, specialty contracting, engineering, utilities, or related project-based environments. A proven track record of leading operational teams through periods of growth and transformation, as well as strong commercial and financial acumen, is essential. The role demands a leader who can build trusted relationships, both internally and with key clients and partners, and who is adept at developing and coaching high-performing teams. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required, and professional designations such as P.Eng., PMP, or an MBA are considered robust assets. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, yet hands-on leader, with a focus on operational and commercial excellence, and a commitment to the values of safety, quality, and integrity.
