Role Description The Registered Massage Therapist at VCC Health Centre will provide client-centered therapeutic massage treatments, including assessment, treatment planning, and documentation in accordance with professional standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting thorough client consultations, performing appropriate massage techniques, and educating clients on home care, posture, and stress management strategies. The role involves collaborating with other health professionals, maintaining clean and secure treatment spaces, and adhering to all regulatory and clinic policies.



The therapist will also help support a positive client experience, including booking follow-up visits and providing attentive customer service. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Halifax, NS.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in Therapeutic Massage and Body Massage for a variety of client needs and conditions.
Ability to provide specialized techniques such as Shiatsu or other relevant modalities within scope of practice.
Experience supporting clients with Stress Management through massage, client education, and wellness guidance.
Robust Customer Service skills, with a focus on clear communication, professionalism, and client comfort.
Current registration and good standing with the appropriate Massage Therapy regulatory body or association.
Graduation from a recognized massage therapy program and eligibility for professional liability insurance.
Ability to maintain accurate clinical notes and follow privacy, safety, and infection-control standards.
Willingness to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting and participate in ongoing professional development.
