Job Description:

We are looking for a Collections Specialist to join our team in Ontario on a contract basis. This position focuses on supporting accounts receivable activities by following up on outstanding balances, maintaining accurate payment records, and providing attentive service to customers. The successful candidate will use accounting and CRM systems to manage collection activities, reduce delinquent accounts, and help maintain healthy credit and payment practices.

Responsibilities:
Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and work to secure timely payment through explicit and courteous communication.
Review outstanding balances, monitor delinquency trends, and take appropriate action to support collection targets.
Process and document payments accurately while updating account information in internal systems.
Maintain detailed records of collection activity, customer interactions, and payment arrangements using accounting software and CRM tools.
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing concerns, account discrepancies,



and credit-related issues affecting payment timelines.
Assess account status and recommend next steps for follow-up based on payment history and risk indicators.
Deliver responsive customer service while handling sensitive financial discussions with accuracy and care.

Requirements:
Experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a similar finance-related role.
Proficiency with accounting software systems and customer relationship management platforms.
Knowledge of collection procedures, delinquent account follow-up, and payment processing practices.
Ability to review account details and apply sound judgment when addressing credit and payment issues.
Robust customer service and communication skills for managing account discussions effectively.
High level of accuracy in record-keeping, documentation, and system updates.
Familiarity with tools such as Accurint is considered an asset.
