Role Description The Litigation Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON. This position involves drafting motions and pleadings, conducting legal research, preparing for and attending court appearances, and assisting with depositions and examinations. The Litigation Associate will manage case files, analyze evidence, prepare legal memoranda, and contribute to litigation strategy in collaboration with senior counsel. The role includes communicating with clients, coordinating with opposing counsel and court staff, and ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain thorough documentation,



uphold confidentiality, and support the firm’s standards of professionalism and advocacy.

Qualifications
Robust foundation in Law, including family law, civil procedure and applicable substantive areas.
Ability to draft and argue Motions and other court filings with clarity and precision.
Proficiency in legal Research, including case law, statutes, and secondary sources.
Experience preparing for and participating in Depositions or examinations.
Familiarity with Courts processes, rules, and courtroom practice.
License to practice law in Ontario (in good standing) or eligibility for licensing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with robust analytical and organizational abilities.
Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple matters, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
Capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues and independently with minimal supervision.
Prior litigation experience, including drafting pleadings or attending hearings, is an asset.
