Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support key financial operations for a team in a contract position with potential for permanency. This prospect is well suited to a detail-oriented accounting specialist who can maintain accurate records, strengthen month-end processes, and contribute to reliable financial reporting. The successful candidate will work across core accounting functions, balancing day-to-day execution with analytical review in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Oversee month-end accounting activities, ensuring deadlines are met and financial results are recorded accurately.
Prepare and review journal entries, account analyses, and supporting schedules to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
Perform detailed reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, bank activity, and other key financial areas, resolving discrepancies promptly.
Support the preparation of internal financial statements and reporting packages by validating data and investigating variances.
Maintain accounting records within ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP, while helping improve consistency in financial processes.
Partner with internal stakeholders to gather information, clarify transactions,



and ensure accounting treatment aligns with company policies.
Use Microsoft Excel to analyze large data sets, prepare reconciliations, and build working papers that support reporting accuracy.
Assist with audits and compliance-related requests by organizing documentation and providing explicit support for account activity.

Requirements:
Proven experience in a senior-level accounting role with robust knowledge of full-cycle accounting practices.
Demonstrated ability to manage general ledger activity, journal entries, and month-end close responsibilities.
Hands-on experience completing account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation support.
Practical experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate variances and resolve issues efficiently.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
