Title: Mainframe Application Support Developer

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

We are looking for a Mainframe Production Support Developer in Toronto, ON.

Required Skills (Maximum 6):

COBOL – Solid experience in mainframe application development and support.

DB2 – Experience with database queries, data analysis, and troubleshooting.

JCL – Ability to manage and troubleshoot mainframe batch jobs.

VSAM – Experience supporting and maintaining VSAM files.

IDMS – Experience with IDMS database settings.

Production Support & Communication – Robust communication, ServiceNow knowledge, RFC handling, project coordination, and readiness to provide on-call support.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Maximum 3):

Experience with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.

Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise mainframe applications.

Experience coordinating production releases,



deployments, and cross-functional technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide production support for mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and IDMS.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents and application defects.

Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests (RFCs) using ServiceNow.

Support application enhancements, maintenance activities, and project-related deliverables.

Monitor batch jobs, investigate failures, and coordinate issue resolution.

Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, database teams, and business stakeholders.

Communicate incident status, root causes, and resolutions to relevant stakeholders.

Participate in deployments, production changes, and release activities.

Provide on-call support as required.
