Flex Academy is a JK-12 brick-and-mortar school which is a division of Heritage Christian Online School located in Kelowna, BC. In this Christ-focused, campus-based program, we are combining the best of classroom experience with the versatility of online tools to develop a hybrid model of education that makes education as expansive and flexible as possible.

The Position
Flex Academy has an opening for a Grade 1 Teacher for the 2026-27 school year! This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position . Flex Academy teachers educate students within a flexible educational model and support their academic, spiritual, and social-emotional growth with a focus on individualized education.

Grade 1

1.0 FTE position at 40 hours per week.

2026/27 school year

As Foundations Teacher, your duties and responsibilities will include:

Deliver quality instruction for both academic and spiritual growth of students (including use of digital curriculum)

Plan, teach, assess and report in applicable subject areas, while maintaining good classroom management

Collaborate with other departments as necessary

Plan field trips and participate in school and staff meetings, and parents’ meetings

Maintaining daily communication with students, families and staffActively participate as a member of the staff team

What we offer:

Competitive salary ($48,876 – $88,818) annually based upon 1.0 FTE and depending on years of experience and education level)
