Caregiver for a person with disabilities
The Amarjit Singh family is seeking a caregiver for their mother, who has a disability. This is a full time, year-round, permanent position.
Duties Provide the elderly person with companionship and personal care in the employer's home under the direction of family members
Complete tasks that the elderly person has difficulty performing, such as reaching, climbing stairs, and carrying household items up to 50 lbs
Assist in feeding, if necessary
Shop for food and household supplies related to the elderly person with disabilities
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and keep track of health and medications as prescribed by the doctor and under the supervision of family members.
Assist with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene




Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to the elderly person with disabilities
Perform other related duties as required.
Wages: $24.50/hr for 35 hours per week.
Work setting: Private home located near Abbotsford, BC.
Required skills Completion of Secondary School
Minimum of 6 months of experience in similar positions or completion of a 6-month training program in a relevant field is required.
Ability to communicate in English.
Knowledge of Punjabi will be considered an asset.
