Job Description

SIGOOK Staffing is currently hiring a Welder / Metal Fabrication Operator on behalf of our client, a well-established commercial and industrial fan manufacturer located in Woodbridge, ON.

Our client specializes in producing high-quality ventilation and air movement solutions for commercial and industrial applications.

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual with hands-on welding and metal fabrication experience to join their production team.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate welding equipment to weld metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Set up and adjust welding equipment, including voltage and current settings.
- Inspect machines and tools before use and complete daily pre-start safety inspection records.
- Use hand tools and welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal components.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure welded parts meet company standards.
- Use calipers and measuring tools to verify dimensions and accuracy.
- Maintain records of welding activities, material usage, and inspection results.
- Operate metal sheet-cutting equipment when required.
- Safely operate overhead cranes to move materials within the production area.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily targets and deadlines.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Qualifications & Requirements





- Previous experience in welding and metal fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Experience using welding equipment, grinders, saws, and other hand tools.
- Basic mathematical and measuring skills.
- Experience with metal assembly and using calipers for accurate measurements.
- Familiarity with machining and manufacturing processes.
- Experience operating metal-cutting machines is an asset.
- Overhead crane experience or certification is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment.
