The College is currently seeking a dynamic and competent individual for the position of Instructor, Bricklayer Blocks (Apprenticeship) .

Position Type: Term Duration: December 2026 to July 2027 Location: Saint John Campus Salary Range: $2,454.00 to $3,776 biweekly, based on experience and level of post-secondary education.

What you'll do Responsibilities As part of the School of Trades and Apprenticeship and reporting to the Academic Chair of Building and Construction, and a member of the faculty team.

You will be responsible for the planning and preparation of instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

Specific instructional areas and courses within the program may include but are not limited to: Apprenticeship Block Levels 1,2,



and 3 Basic to Advanced Masonry Techniques Building arches and entryways Patios Stone Blueprint Reading Tools and Equipment Rigging and Hoisting Anchors, Ties, and Joint Reinforcement Refractory Restoration And other related courses The successful incumbent must be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.

What you'll need Qualifications Certificate of Qualification or Red Seal (Journeyperson) in Bricklaying. A working knowledge of MS Office is required.

Preference may be given to candidates who have a minimum of three (3) years of related, recent work experience at the Journeyperson's level.

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post-secondary setting in a blended delivery format.

Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills, analytical ability, and innovative thinking.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent.

Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
