Education: Other trades certificate or diploma Experience: 5 years or more or equivalent experience Tasks Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints Maintain clean and safe work environment Read blueprint, schemas and drawings Construct patterns and templates Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required Screening questions Are you currently a student? Do you have experience working in this field?
