Full-Time Temporary Live-Out Nanny

Location: North Brampton, ON
Position Type: Full-Time (Live-Out)

Duration: Up to 2 months (with the possibility of extension)

About the Position

We are looking for a caring, dependable, and experienced nanny to provide full-time care for our 14-month-old daughter in our home. This is a live-out position, Monday through Friday, for an initial term of approximately two months, with the possibility of extending based on our family's needs.

The ideal candidate is warm, patient, attentive, and enjoys engaging with young children while also helping keep the household running smoothly during nap times.

Primary Responsibilities

- Childcare
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for our 14-month-old throughout the day.
- Feed meals and snacks, and assist with age-appropriate eating.
- Change diapers and assist with hygiene and dressing.
- Maintain the child's nap schedule.
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate developmental play and activities.
- Read books, sing songs, and encourage learning through play.
- Keep the child safe at all times and supervise indoor and outdoor activities.
- Monitor for signs of illness or discomfort and communicate concerns promptly.
- Child-Related Household Duties
- Clean and sanitize bottles, dishes, and feeding supplies.
- Tidy play areas and organize toys.
- Wash and fold the child's laundry as needed.
- Prepare simple meals and snacks for the child.
- Keep the child's bedroom and play spaces neat and organized.
- Light Household Support (During Child's Naps or Downtime)
- Prepare easy meals or meal prep for the family.
- Load and unload the dishwasher.
- Wipe kitchen counters and maintain a tidy kitchen.
- Fold household laundry.
- Light tidying of common living areas.




- Other light household tasks that help keep the home organized.
- This role is not intended to be a full housekeeping position. Childcare will always be the primary responsibility.

Qualifications

- Previous experience caring for infants or toddlers (professional nanny experience preferred).
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Comfortable preparing simple meals.
- Patient, energetic, and genuinely enjoys working with young children.
- Strong communication skills.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Non-smoker.
- Experience with early childhood development.

Employment Requirements

- Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check (including a Vulnerable Sector Check, if requested) as a condition of employment.
- Must be able to provide at least two recent childcare or professional references.

Schedule

- Full time, Monday through Friday.
- Approximately 40 hours per week.
- Exact hours to be discussed with the successful candidate.

Compensation

- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
- Paid weekly or bi-weekly.
