As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will contribute to building and supporting reliable, highly available, scalable, and high-performing cloud infrastructure that powers these learning experiences.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with a strong automation mindset and hands-on experience building and managing large-scale production environments on AWS.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes,

containerized environments, CI/CD, distributed systems, observability, and production troubleshooting, along with experience designing and supporting multi-region applications and resiliency strategies.

You will work closely with engineering and development teams to improve system reliability, scalability, performance, availability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

● Design, implement, and support highly available, scalable, and resilient AWS infrastructure.





● Contribute to the design and implementation of multi-region AWS strategies across multiple AWS accounts.

● Design and support automatic and manual regional failover mechanisms.

● Manage and troubleshoot multi-region, N-tier, distributed, and event-driven applications.

● Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modules.

● Manage and support containerized workloads using AWS ECS and

EKS/Kubernetes.

● Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud infrastructure, applications,

networking, databases, operating systems, and distributed systems.

● Develop and improve automation to reduce repetitive operational activities and on-call workload.

● Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous deployment practices.

● Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

● Conduct and contribute to post-incident reviews, failure analysis, and continuous reliability improvements.

● Participate in chaos engineering, failure injection, and game-day exercises.

● Implement and maintain monitoring, observability, telemetry, and alerting solutions.

● Monitor application performance, capacity, growth patterns, and production health.





● Collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability and operational readiness.

● Promote engineering best practices around automation, deployment, monitoring,

documentation, and operational sustainability.

Required Technical Skills

AWS & Cloud

Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including several of the following:

● EC2, S3

● ECS, EKS

● RDS, Aurora

● DynamoDB

● SQS, SNS

● Lambda, API Gateway

● Route 53

● CloudFront

● WAF

● VPC, VPC Endpoints, Routing

● IAM

● ElastiCache – Redis / Memcached / Valkey

● OpenSearch / Elasticsearch

● Load Balancing

● CloudWatch

Infrastructure as Code

● Strong hands-on experience with Terraform

● Experience developing, reviewing, and deploying Terraform modules

● Infrastructure-as-Code and automation best practices

Containers & Kubernetes

● Hands-on experience with Kubernetes

● Strong experience with AWS EKS and/or ECS

● Docker and containerization strategies

● Container fleet management and troubleshooting

SRE / DevOps

● Experience working as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role

● Solid understanding of reliability, scalability, availability, performance, and resiliency

● Production troubleshooting and complex issue triage

● Incident management and root-cause analysis

● On-call / production support experience

● CI/CD and continuous deployment practices

Database

Hands-on experience with cloud databases such as:

● MySQL

● PostgreSQL

● Amazon RDS

● Aurora

● Database connection pooling
