About ArcadianAI
ArcadianAI is a Canadian technology company providing AI-powered video intelligence for security monitoring companies, guard companies, integrators, and organizations managing camera networks. Our platform connects to customers’ existing cameras and helps their teams identify situations that need attention.
About the Role
Your primary responsibility will be customer onboarding and first-level technical support. You will help customers connect cameras and sites, configure their ArcadianAI workspace, resolve routine connectivity issues, and get successfully started with the platform. This is a customer-facing role, so clear communication, follow-through, and taking ownership of issues until they are resolved or properly escalated are important.
You will also help build, improve, and maintain our website. Website work may require more time during the initial setup or redesign, with guidance and agreed milestones. Once the website is established, routine maintenance, publishing, and basic optimization are expected to take a few hours per week. Larger improvements will be planned separately.
Customer support and onboarding are the core responsibilities. You will also proactively review sites, camera connections, and configurations instead of only waiting for support requests. Website work will be scheduled around customer and operational needs. The CEO and team will provide articles, business information, and content direction.
Customer Support and Onboarding
- Onboard new customers and sites, including remote camera connection, setup, configuration, testing, and verification.
- Troubleshoot routine camera and network connectivity issues, including basic IP networking, RTSP/ONVIF connections, NVR/VMS connectivity, and internet-related problems.
- Provide first-level customer support through email, chat, phone, and video calls. Communicate clearly, explain next steps in plain language, and make sure customers know the status of their issue.
- Configure Ranger policies, schedules, and exclusions based on customer requirements and internal guidance.
These settings define which situations should generate alerts, when monitoring applies, and which conditions should be ignored.
- Proactively check sites, camera connections, monitoring settings, and Ranger configurations; identify issues and follow through until they are resolved or escalated.
- Keep clear records of customer requests, troubleshooting steps, configuration changes, and outstanding issues. Follow company procedures when handling customer information and access.
- Take ownership of support issues, keep customers informed, and escalate complex problems to the CTO with clear notes, troubleshooting history, and the information needed for investigation.
- Help maintain FAQs, setup instructions, and internal support notes.
Website Maintenance, Publishing, and Search Visibility
- Help build and improve website pages using agreed content, layouts, and direction, with guidance and review.
- Maintain pages and update product information, images, links, and other approved content.
- Format and publish blog posts supplied by the CEO or team, including relevant images, headings, and links.
- Check pages on desktop and mobile, and verify that forms, links, and layouts work correctly.
- Apply basic search engine optimization (SEO) and answer engine optimization (AEO) practices to help make company content explicit and discoverable through search and AI-assisted answers.
- Maintain clear page titles, descriptions, headings, image alternative text, internal links, and useful FAQs.
- Review basic website and search performance information, flag problems, and suggest practical improvements.
You may use tools such as Codex to support website work. You will be expected to review the results, check functionality, and understand the changes you make.
What You Should Bring
- Clear written and spoken English, with patience and confidence when helping customers.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addresses, local networks, routers, ports, and internet connectivity.
- A logical and curious approach to troubleshooting, with the initiative to investigate problems before escalating them.
- Practical experience building or maintaining websites and making basic page or layout changes. Personal, school, freelance, and employment projects are all welcome.
- Strong attention to detail, good organization, a sense of ownership, and reliable follow-through.
- Willingness to learn new tools, accept feedback, and document your work.
- A stable internet connection, a suitable workspace, and readiness to participate in video meetings with your camera on.
Experience with Linux, IP cameras, RTSP/ONVIF, basic HTML/CSS, SEO, AEO, Google Search Console, or AI-assisted development tools such as Codex would be helpful. These are advantages, not requirements. This is a junior position, and we value practical ability, communication skills, initiative, and willingness to learn.
Training and Guidance
We will provide training on ArcadianAI, camera onboarding, Ranger configuration, support procedures, and escalation practices. You will work under the CTO’s guidance, with website and content direction from the CEO.
Work Arrangement
This role will begin remotely and may transition to a hybrid or fully in-person arrangement based on the company’s operational needs. Candidates must be based in the GTA and able to attend the company’s designated work location as required.
Any changes to the work location, schedule, or attendance requirements will be communicated in advance.
