OV Automotive is growing, and we are looking for a reliable, experienced automotive technician who can work independently and represent our company professionally at customers’ homes and workplaces.

This is not an entry-level position.

We are not looking for someone who has simply “worked around cars.” We need someone with real hands-on experience performing automotive service and repairs without constant supervision.

What You Must Be Comfortable Doing

You should be able to independently perform:

- Tire mounting and balancing
- Seasonal wheel swaps
- Tire repairs
- Low-profile and larger wheel/tire service
- Oil and filter changes
- Routine vehicle maintenance
- Basic mechanical inspection and troubleshooting
- Safe lifting and jacking procedures
- Proper torque procedures and use of professional shop equipment

Experience with European vehicles, run-flat tires, larger wheels, detailing, diagnostics, or additional mechanical repair is a solid asset.

A Journeyman/Red Seal certification is not required, but actual qualified automotive experience is.

This Position Is NOT For You If:

- Your automotive experience is mainly personal/hobby work
- You require someone to constantly supervise your work
- You regularly arrive late or miss scheduled work
- You are uncomfortable dealing directly with customers
- You exaggerate your experience on your résumé
- You cannot confidently explain the procedures you claim to know
- You do not take responsibility when something goes wrong





We would rather hire someone with 3 years of legitimate hands-on experience than someone claiming 15 years who cannot demonstrate basic automotive knowledge.

A valid driver’s licence and acceptable driving record are required.

Compensation

Starting wage: $25/hour during the initial probation/training period

After demonstrating consistent quality, reliability, independence and customer service:

$28–$30/hour

There is opportunity to grow with the company as we add additional service vehicles and expand operations.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
