Residential Building Cleaner/Custodian

Full time (Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm)

Job Responsibilities:

- Responsible for basic cleaning of common areas in and around a multi-story residential apartment building, including vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, cleaning windows and glass, etc.
- Cleaning apartment units when tenants move out, including:
- Kitchens: fridge, stove, dishwasher, cabinets, sink, counter tops, floors etc.
- Cleaning bathrooms including tubs, showers, tiles, floors, sinks, toilets, etc
- Emptying trash and replacing liners.
- Setting up, stocking, and maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Monitoring and maintaining cleanliness and organization of assigned areas.
- Performing additional duties as needed

Qualifications / Skills:

- Ability to lift 23 kg/50 lbs




- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Robust interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the provisions that apply to this work including WHMIS.
- Previous residential apartment building cleaning experience required (3 years)

Pay: $35,200.00-$38,000.00 per year
