West Kelowna Minor Baseball (WKMBA) is looking for a few great people to help keep our concession running for the 2027 baseball season.

Our concession has become an important part of the baseball experience at our fields. Players, families, coaches and visiting teams rely on it throughout the season, and we're looking to build a small team of volunteers to help keep it going.

You don't need to take this on alone. We're ideally looking for two or more people who can share the responsibilities and schedule.

What You'll Help With

Responsibilities can be divided among the concession team and may include:

- Opening and operating the concession during scheduled baseball games
- Serving players, families and spectators
- Preparing and selling concession food and beverages
- Processing sales using our Square point-of-sale system
- Keeping the concession clean and organized
- Helping with opening and closing procedures
- Coordinating with the existing concession team
- Potentially helping operate the concession during Mount Boucherie Secondary School lunch periods

Our existing concession coordinator will continue looking after inventory, 18U games and major events such as Opening Ceremonies and the Valley of Champions tournament.

No Experience Necessary

We'll provide training before the spring season, including how the concession operates and how to use our Square payment system.

We're primarily looking for people who are dependable, friendly, organized and enjoy being part of the community.

Schedule

This is a versatile volunteer position based around WKMBA's baseball schedule. Most concession shifts take place during evenings and weekends throughout the spring baseball season.

We're happy to work with a team of people to divide the schedule so that no single volunteer needs to cover every game.

Why Volunteer?

You'll be right in the middle of the action at the ballpark and helping support hundreds of local baseball players and families.

And, as our current concession crew will tell you, it's one of the few jobs where everyone is genuinely happy to see you!

If you're interested in helping—or would like to learn more before committing—we'd love to hear from you.

Pay: Up to $1.00 per year
