About the Role

Ridgetechone Construction & Development Corp. (RTO) is a self-performing crane and concrete formwork contractor based in Burnaby. We're hiring a certified mobile crane operator to run our yard operation and cover occasional site picks. This is a hands-on, home-every-night role for someone who takes pride in a secure, organized yard.

Responsibilities

- Operate mobile and rough-terrain cranes (unlimited tonnage classification) for yard lifts, loading and unloading trucks, and material staging
- Handle formwork, rebar, equipment and materials in the yard, including organizing and inventory
- Rig and sling loads safely, or direct a signal person, following the manufacturer's load charts
- Complete and document daily pre-use inspections (wire rope, hydraulics, outriggers, safety devices, tires, fluids)
- Do routine servicing, lubrication and cleaning, and report defects or repair needs right away
- Keep maintenance and inspection logs up to date
- Travel the crane to site and set it up for occasional lifts,



including ground assessment, outrigger setup and pick planning
- Follow RTO's safety program, WorkSafeBC regulations and site-specific safety requirements
- Work with the yard manager, crane division and project teams to prioritize lifts and equipment movements
- Help with general yard tasks when not on the crane

Qualifications

- Valid mobile crane operator (unlimited tonnage) certification for BC (Red Seal required)
- Experience on rough-terrain or hydraulic boom cranes, ideally 3+ years
- Rigging and signalling knowledge
- Valid driver's licence (Class 1 or 3 an asset), plus current first aid and fall protection tickets
- Reliable, safety-minded and able to work independently
- Comfortable with physical work in all weather

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
