Position Overview

We are hiring experienced Snow Removal Equipment Operators for the upcoming winter season. Operators will safely and efficiently clear snow and ice from commercial properties using loaders, skid steers, tractors, plow trucks, salt trucks, and other snow-removal equipment.

This is an on-call position. Applicants must be available to work during snow and ice events, including overnight shifts, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

- Operate snow-removal equipment safely and efficiently
- Clear snow from parking lots, roadways, entrances, and other designated areas
- Apply salt and other de-icing materials as required
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
- Follow assigned routes and supervisors’ instructions
- Report equipment damage, hazards, and maintenance concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate service and equipment records
- Protect client properties while providing high-quality service
- Communicate professionally with supervisors and team members
- Follow all company policies and health and safety procedures

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of snow-plowing experience using a truck and plow

Valid Ontario DZ driver’s licence with a clean and current driver’s abstract

Experience operating snow-removal or heavy equipment, including:

- Truck and plow
- 550 truck with plow and salter
- Wheel loaders with snow blades
- Skid steers
- Tractors
- Salt trucks
- Other related snow-removal equipment
- Reliable transportation and ability to respond promptly to snow and ice events
- Availability for overnight shifts,



early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work independently while maintaining the quality and timeliness of assigned plowing and salting duties
- Ability to monitor the efficient use of materials and equipment
- Attention to detail when reviewing work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and the protection of client properties
- Dependable, professional, and comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to use LMN for timekeeping and job tracking; training will be provided
